Szalay storms to second
Opel Dakar Team maintain 6th place overall after strong performance in stage 5 of the Africa Eco Race.
Another strong showing for Szalay Balázs and László Bunkoczi in their Opel saw them finish second on today's stage to overall leader Jean Loius Schlesser. Their finishing time of 1 hour 48 minutes and 21 seconds was 6 minutes behind Schlesser meaning they remain 6th overall. Their next target Kanat Shagirov in his H3 Hummer is now 7 minutes closer in 5th place.
Tomorow sees a well earned restday for the driver but no doubt, as team principal, Szalay will be fully occupied working on the car in preparation for stage 6 in Mauritania.
